Upfront plans need no debit order. You pay the plan price plus the R120 joining fee once, and you're covered for the whole period.
At sign-up you pay the joining fee and your first month at the counter. After that, your debit order only ever takes your monthly fee, on the 1st or the 25th, whichever you choose.
If your chosen debit day is more than two weeks away, the month you paid covers you until then. If it's two weeks or less away, those days are free: your paid month starts on that debit day, and your first debit order runs the month after. See every step of joining ↓

The fine print, in plain words
Debit day
Your debit order runs on the 1st or the 25th of the month. You choose at sign-up.
Paid upfront at sign-up
The R120 joining fee and your first month are paid when you sign up. The debit order then takes only the monthly fee.
Freezing
Injured, travelling or need a break? Ask the front desk to freeze your membership. The frozen months are added to the end of your contract.
Freeze fees, minimum and maximum TBC
Cancelling
Give 20 business days' written notice. Cancelling before your term ends costs 30% of the remaining contract value.
After your term ends, the membership carries on month to month, and you can cancel without a fee.
Returned debit orders
On new contracts, a debit order that bounces carries a R150 admin fee. Tell us early if your bank details change.
Cards & prices
Your joining fee includes one access card. A lost card has to be replaced at a cost TBC, and you'll need photo ID.
Your price is fixed for your term. If it changes afterwards, you'll get 40–80 business days' notice.
All prices are in rand. Prices are correct as of October 2026. Re-joining after you cancel means paying the joining fee again.
Six steps to your first session
Most people are done in one visit. Here's exactly what happens, so there are no surprises at the counter.
- Visit us
Walk in at 124 High Street, Mayfair West, any weekday between 05:00 and 20:00. Have a look around first if you like.
Ladies only 08:00–10:00 - Choose your package
Student, Blue, Silver or Gold on a 12 or 24-month debit order, or pay upfront for 1 to 24 months.
- Contract & health questionnaire
Sign your membership agreement and fill in the PAR-Q, a short standard health questionnaire. A "yes" answer just means checking with your doctor before you start.
- Pay joining fee + first month
Pay R120 plus your first month at the counter. On Silver over 12 months, for example, that's R619.
- Sign the debit mandate on your phone
We send the Netcash debit-order mandate to your phone. You check the details and sign it there. From then on it only takes your monthly fee.
Not needed on upfront plans - Get your card + fingerprint
We register your access card and your fingerprint at the door, and you're in. Time to train.
